RISE! es una revista online Uruguaya dedicada a todos los estilos del Metal. Fue fundada por Jorge Patacas en Agosto de 2005, en una época donde eran pocos los medios dedicados al género en el país. La idea de hacer una revista online surgió debido a que era un formato no explorado anteriormente, y además podría llegar no solo a los fans de Uruguay, sino también de todo el mundo, de manera completamente gratuita. La revista tiene como propósito informar sobre todo lo que está sucediendo en el mundo del Metal mediante entrevistas, biografías, informes especiales, reseñas de CDs, demos y shows, además de las últimas novedades, fechas de shows y lanzamientos discográficos de la escena, entre otras secciones. A partir de Abril de 2012, RISE! abandonó el formato PDF para pasar a informar a través de posteos en su sitio web y las redes sociales, con el fin de brindar más información al instante y generar mayor interacción con los lectores. RISE! is an Uruguayan online magazine dedicated to all the Metal genres. It was founded by Jorge Patacas on August 2005, when the media dedicated to the genre in the country was limited. The idea of doing an online magazine appeared because it was an unexplored format in the country at that time, and besides it could be available not only for the fans in Uruguay, but to all the fans in the world, completely free. The online magazine has the purpose of bringing info about everything that’s happening in the Metal world through interviews, biographies, special features, CD reviews, concert reviews, plus the latest news, concert dates and upcoming releases of the whole world scene, among other sections.
