RISE!’s editor-in-chief and writer, Jorge Patacas, will be present at the Inferno Music Conference in Oslo, Norway once again in 2024. The conference gathers musicians, media, promoters, managers and other key players in the music industry. There will be panels, Q&As sessions, clinics, etc. RISE! will also be present on this year’s edition of the festival, which features bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Taake, Gorgoroth, Kampfar, Candlemass, Borknagar, Finntroll, Cattle Decapitation and many others.

Folk rock band GÅTE won Melodi Grand Prix 2024, the annual Norwegian music competition that serves as the country’s preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Therefore, the band will represent Norway in the contest that will take place in Malmö, Sweden in May. The goth/industrial metal outfit GOTHMINISTER got the fourth place among nine competitors.
